How To Care For Your Blundstones

How To Care For Your Blundstones

Here's how to extend the life of your favourite boots. Don't think we don't notice them drying and cracking away - we do!

-------------------------------------------

Fredericton, is the capital of three things:
1) The province of New Brunswick
2) Craft breweries per capita, and
3) Blundstone wearers.

Maybe you've just picked up your very first pair as we move into "Blundstone Season," or, maybe you're a seasoned collector and have one of each style. But did you know that Blundstone offers a lifetime warranty? No, not your lifetime, silly goose, but the lifetime of the boot. Nine times out of ten, at the end of its lifespan, it won't have owed you a cent. But, if something were to happen though, your boot will be covered under its warranty so long as you take care of its leather.

So, how do you do that? That depends on your boot, but all it takes is a little elbow grease and the right product and you'll be back at the brewery in no time. But don't go crazy; you only need to re-treat your boots every 6-8 months. Too much and they'll become too supple and rip, too little and they'll dry out and crack. It's a fine balance, like caring for a houseplant (sorry, houseplants)
.

So here are our tips on how to get more life of your boots, and more out of life. Just kidding, just the first one.

So there you have it, folks. Now, polish up those boots and crack a cold one. You've earned it. Regardless of whether you are using the Blundstone care products, or other recommended products like the Grangers paste wax or footwear repel, just promise us you'll treat your boots now and then, would ya?
