Capital Kayak Social #2 Recap
Our second Capital Kayak Social of the season was a memorable evening on the water!
Last Saturday, our second Capital Kayak Social of the season brought together a great group of paddlers for a relaxing evening exploring the Wolastoq/ Saint John River. We launched from the Valley Trail boat launch off Woodstock Road and headed upstream into the setting sun, making our way around Nevers Island before returning through the channel between Nevers and Murray Island.
The calm water, warm evening, and incredible scenery made for the perfect paddle. Along the way, we were treated to some amazing wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead and several massive fish launching themselves out of the water.
After returning to the boat launch, everyone gathered to enjoy a well-earned Freezie and catch up before heading home.
